FALL is here..... 8 more weeks until DADDY is home!!!

Hello Family & Friends!!!

I want to start off by saying thank you for all of the caring e-mails I have received regarding Brent and the current task his ship is involved in. I know that Brent is going to be just fine. He has trained for this particular situation for the past year. I will always remember when he came home and said he was going to begin training with a BOARDING TEAM to assist with the pirating efforts while on deployment. I had no idea that PIRATES really existed......so crazy! It has been three days since I have heard from him......I really do miss his daily e-mails! I have to stop and remind myself just how

lucky I am to hear from him as often as I do.....thanks to technology. :-) As soon I hear from Brent, I will let everyone know. Only 8 more weeks to go....WOOOHOOO!!!

Well the girls and I have had another great weekend. We took a drive on Saturday with Abuela to our cousin "Julie's" to congratulate her on her new place. Julie, we love your new place and are so proud of you......CONGRATULATIONS!!! It was so wonderful to see the family and Hannah & Savannah had such a great time with their cousins.

To end the weekend, the girls and I put out our Halloween decor and made the front yard festive for FALL. I just love this time of year. We hope everyone has a wonderful week. Until our next update...............hugs!!!

Ladies Night @ The Melting Pot!!!

A group of us girls got together for a girls night out!!! Our evening began at Rodrigo's for HAPPY HOUR....then we finished the evening with fondue at The Melting Pot. It was a great time.... our evening was filled with some much needed pampering & laughter! I look forward to our next outing................ I wish everyone a GREAT weekend!!!

Michelle's Place Annual 5K Walk!!!

On Saturday morning Hannah, Savannah, and mommy put their walking shoes on and headed to Maurice Carrie Winery to participate in the Annual Michelle's Place 5K Walk. It was such a great way to start our weekend!

Michelle's Place is a Breast Cancer Resource Center that assists several women through their fight against breast cancer. Many of you already know that Brent's beautiful mom "Delores" and Aunt "Maria" are breast cancer survivors. To add, my best friend Jamie's mom "Donna" is currently battling breast cancer.......she is truly an inspiration to our family! I volunteer time at Michelle's Place as an Advisory Board Member to assist with fundraising efforts............Michelle's Place is truly an amazing organization. Stand up against the fight against breast cancer! October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Ladies......don't forget to schedule your mammograms!!! :-)

Brent's visit to the Seyshelles Islands...........

The girls and I received a phone call from Brent last week. He had pulled in to a port after being out to sea for over six weeks.......poor guy! He sounded great and was having a wonderful time visiting one of the Seychelles Islands off the coast of Africa. He says it was an absolutely beautiful place! The girls went to bed so happy after speaking with their daddy. They had so many stories to share with him, especially Hannah. 10 more weeks to go!!!

Bachelorette Party for Joleen...........

It was a fun filled girls weekend in the Gaslamp Quarter of San Diego. A group of us spent the weekend together to celebrate Joleen's Bachelorette Party......YAY Joleen is getting married. CONGRATULATIONS girl!!! We all had such a great time.

A fun filled three day weekend...........

I can't believe it is already September, 12 more weeks until Brent will be home!!! The girls and I are very anxious. We hope everyone enjoyed the long holiday weekend. While Brent is on deployment there is so such thing as a holiday, he is lucky if he even gets Sunday off. The ship is a 24/7 operation. I would never last in the NAVY. :-)

The girls and I had a fun filled weekend. We spent most our weekend with our dear friends Chris, Jamie, Cayden & Skylen.

We have turned into quite the beach goers this summer. On Sunday Jamie and I loaded the little ones up and drove down to the beach in San Diego. The kids had a
blast digging for sand crabs, making sand castles and turning themselves into sand mermaids. It was fun!!!

While we were out playing in the water Brent tried to call us, but we missed his call. :-( He can never tell us when he will be able to call home so it is hit and miss. We hope to hear daddy's voice soon. Savannah sounds so much like her big sister that it is becoming hard to tell them apart over the phone. Daddy always notices a big change in both of their vocabularies when he talks with them. We are anxiously awaiting for daddy's next phone call home.

Our weekend ended with the girls dancing around in mommy's room before shower time!
