A whole new adventure ahead for us.

Change is the law of life. And those who look only to the past or present are certain to miss the future.

It has been quite some time since I have updated our blog. Brent and I find that each day is just flying by. Some days we feel like we are just racing against the clock. Our move is now behind us...............THANK GOODNESS!

LET OUR MOVE BEGIN..............

SO HERE IS OUR NEW HOME SWEET HOME............

THE GIRLS CHECKING OUT OUR BACKYARD!

The girls helping us pick out our granite....

In the last month Brent and I have made several changes. We moved into our new home in April. We are loving all the space we now have. The girls are having a great time going on mini adventures around the backyard. Our new home has been an ongoing project since day one moving in, but all is coming together. Brent was able to take leave in April, so this was perfect timing with our move. Now the move is behind us and Brent has returned back to work. He officially reported to shore duty on May 5th............yahoooo!!! It is so WONDERFUL knowing Daddy will be home with the girls and I each evening. It was one year ago on May 19th that Brent deployed for six months. One year has gone by fast looking back. Next week the ship Brent was stationed on will be leaving for another six month deployment...........I can't express how HAPPY we are that Brent will not be going. However, we wish all the crew aboard the USS HOWARD a speedy deployment & a safe return home. :-)

I have recently stepped into a new role at work as a Mortgage Loan Consultant. Some may think I am CRAZY for venturing back into sales, especially mortgage lending of all careers during this economic time. However, I must say it is pretty exciting to get loans approved and work with individuals on their very first home purchase. We jokingly say we are now doing car loans at the office rather than home loans. When the President of our company came to me and offered me this opportunity , I was at first not sure if I wanted to take on the role of being a Mortgage Loan Consultant. Now that I have, I am happy I made the choice to move forward with the adventures of lending. The best part of my new position is Brent and I get to work together as a team doing real estate together.

Hannah & Savannah are still having fun with dance. They will both be performing a dance routine in their very first recital in July...............fun!!! The girls are turning into such big girls..............next month Hannah will be graduating from pre-K. I can still remember the day I graduated from pre-school. It seems so strange that this day is now right around the corner for our daughter. Before we know it, we will be writing about the girls graduating from high school.

We recently hosted our Annual "Cornerstone" Appreciation Dinner for our real estate clients. Our event took place at Ponte Winery here in Temecula. It was a fabulous evening.

My little brother, Cole and his girlfriend Michelle recently came to visit from Idaho. It was so great seeing them!

Congratulations to our cousins, Gabriel and Monique on their precious new addition to our family, baby MaKaylah..............so SWEET!!!

Well we hope everyone is enjoying the lovely Spring weather and the three day weekend!!! Be safe.............

The greatest time spent is spending time with our family!

Where should I start? The last couple of weeks have been filled with lots of fun & laughter - just the perfect mix for us!

Brent is now officially off of the USS HOWARD. When Brent came home on Wednesday evening, he was so PROUD to share what his fellow Officers and Department had given to him to say farewell. It was so great to read all of the things everyone had to say about Brent. Of course none of it surprised me. Just about everyone had said "thank you for being a mentor". That is our Brent!!! I think the last three in a half years aboard the ship was quite the experience for Brent personally and of course for our whole family. I will always remember the day Brent first reported to duty aboard the ship. At that moment we knew things were going to be different than what we had been use to. Fortunately we survived two six month deployments and several mini departures in between. Now that it is all behind us................it wasn't all that bad!!! THANK YOU so much to our family and friends for the support, we love you all.

So what have we been up to lately?

HAPPY 29th BIRTHDAY Babe!
It seems like it was just yesterday that we were 16 & 17.
WOW - where has the time gone? I love you!!!

I just love Brent & Hannah's expression......

An evening at Medieval Times..........
For Brent's Birthday Dinner - Abuelo & Abuela treated us
to an evening at Medieval Times. We had a WONDERFUL time.
The best part was seeing the girls sweet little faces enjoying the show.
Our little Savannah is turning into quite the little social butterfly. She
blew a kiss to the Prince during the show. It was priceless!!!

My KING enjoying his beer!!!

The girls just can't get enough of their Daddy.....

Disneyland here we come...............
The following day we went to the Happiest Place Ever - Disneyland
of course. It was a SUPER warm day, but well worth it. Now
that Brent will be on shore duty we purchased our season passes - YAY!!!

Are we there yet Mommy?

It's a SMALL WORLD

Well we will be busy packing and moving starting this coming week. Yes, we are moving AGAIN. We are moving back to Temecula on 1 acre. Abuelo and Abuela think it is so funny that we want a home with land since Brent always said he would never have a home with land when he grew up.......never say never, right? We have our work cut out for us! I'll share pictures of our new home in our next update.
Until next time - lots of HUGS from our family to yours!!!
