We have some new pictures to share of our Brent on Deployment. Check out Brent's stylish outfit that was made especially for him!!! Recently the USS HOWARD crossed the equator and did the traditional "Crossing the Line" ceremony that signifies crossing the equator, which divides the northern and southern hemispheres of the earth. It is an aged tradition for all mariners since the beginning of ocean navigation and it has a ceremony attached to it that is similar to a right of passage where before you cross you are called a wog and after you are called a shellback. This ceremony is a very big deal. You only have to do the ceremony once which Brent did during his last deployment......thank goodness! They have to crawl through some pretty disgusting obstacles. This time Brent assisted with designing the lovely obstacles and conducting the ceremony.
Enjoy and make it a great day!
Hugs from The Szychulda Family. :-)
