Memories in the making..........

Well Brent is back out to sea this week. It has been so NICE to not have Brent leave the girls and I since his return in late November. He was so bummed just thinking about the thought of having to leave us for a week. But before we know it he will be back home again........YAY! Only one more month until Brent is back on shore duty. There is still a chance he could have to go over seas, but we will just keep our fingers crossed for that not to happen. The past three and a half years of sea time have definitely had some challenges, but we have overcome them and have stayed strong! I cannot express how HAPPY we are for shore time to almost be here. Six months away from your family is not easy. I know Brent will look back on his time aboard the USS Howard and have some great memories, but it has been a long path for him! I am just so thankful for our family and friends. They have made the military life so much easier for the girls and I.

This was a good week for Daddy to be away since the girls have both been sick with a cold. Hannah has been out of school four days this week with a sinus infection - POOR GIRL. Thank you to Abuelo, Abuela, Papa, & Amalia for always being there for the girls!!! We are so blessed to have family and friends so close and who are always willing to offer a helping hand - THANK YOU!!!

I have several pictures to share. We have been keeping very busy, but still having fun too!

It's getting HOT, HOT, HOT!!!

Back in October I attended the WILD WOMEN OF WINE COUNTRY luncheon at South Coast Winery benefiting a wonderful organization; Michelle's Place. During the luncheon the local fire departments came together to auction off dinners at three local fire houses. Imagine 1200 women, drinking wine, and ten men on stage in uniform. It was CRAZY!!! Well the famous Sheila E decided to bid on all of the dinner packages and re-auctioned the dinners agreeing that she would attend the dinner - pretty nice!

Our group of girls were the lucky ones to attend the dinner with Fire Station #3 in Murrieta. WOW!!! This crew put on quite the feast for us...............it was such a great time. How many people can say they have had dinner with Sheila E? I can truly say that Sheila E and her girlfriends are genuine ladies. It's pretty neat that they all took the time to drive from LA to support such a wonderful cause.

The best part of the evening was going for a ride in the engine. I wasn't going to go because I would not have enough time to pick up Hannah's prescription and then the Engineer offered to drive me to Walgreens. Who can tell me the last time they picked up their prescription in a fire engine? Pretty nice, huh?

Spending time with our family..........
We don't get to spend as much time as we would like to with our family due to our hectic schedules. So when we do have the opportunity to get together, we really cherish these moments.
