Finally - this deployment has come to an end!
Brent arrived home on Saturday. It was such an exciting day for our family. Our parents and friends hopped in our decorated vehicles and headed down to greet the ship. We were all out on the pier waiting for the tug boats to give the signal for the USS Howard arriving. It was about 11:30 am and we saw the tug boat shooting the water up and soon we all heard the loud horn from the ship. Everyone was jumping with excitement. We could see the Sailors standing at attention. It is such an emotional and pleasant site! This moment was such a proud moment for our family. Once the ship docked at the pier we all spotted Brent. The girls were screaming "hi Daddy, we love you" it was so sweet! It took over an hour until we were able to give our Brent a big hug and welcome home kiss. But once we were able to touch him - it was so WONDERFUL!!!
We have been super busy since Brent has returned home four
days ago. On Sunday we took the girls to cut down a fresh Christmas tree. If Mommy had her way we would put up our artificial tree, but Daddy got his way. Our house sure does smell so beautiful with the smell of our fresh cut tree. Daddy even put our lights outside up for us - YAY!!! We just love this time of year.

Holly, I am so happy that you have your hubby back home... I couldnt imagine how you and your girls must feel when he is deployed. Again, I am happy and honered that I got to see his sign/banner over the freeway coming home last Sunday from the Chargers game! Wow, I was so excited... my bestfriend Roxanne thought that was so cool too. Happy Holidays to your family! This will be one to remember... love you. xoxo
